The third day's play of the ongoing Test match between India and Australia has been interrupted due to rain. After Australia went unbeaten, posting a respectable score, riding on Travis Head's century on the second day, the proceedings were delayed by five minutes due to an early morning shower at the venue.
However, as soon as the conditions eased out and became suitable for cricket, action began at 9.55 PM local time, five minutes late from the scheduled start. Australia's unbeaten batting duo of Alex Carey and Mitchell Starc added few more crucial runs to the hosts' tally before Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah dismissed the latter with his razor-sharp bowling.
But, unfortunately for the spectators and fans around the world, the riveting clash was once again interrupted, with rain resurfacing for another time at the iconic venue.
