The third day's play of the ongoing Test match between India and Australia will get a delayed start due to the inclement weather conditions at the Gabba. The proceedings were all set to start from 5.20 AM IST and 9.50 AM local time. However, a persistent drizzle struck the venue this morning, delaying the proceedings.
It's worth mentioning that the first day of the Test match was affected by a downpour at the venue. After Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first, the Indian bowlers kept the Aussie openers on their toes for a brief period before rain played spoilsport at the Gabba.
The rain has stopped and the match will resume at 5.25 AM IST or 9.55 AM local time. However, as a gloomy sky greets the players, here's Brisbane's weather report for today.
The Gabba Brisbane Weather Report For Day 3
According to AccuWeather, overcast conditions will prevail at the Gabba, posing challenging conditions for the players on day three of the intriguing Test match between India and Australia.
The chances of precipitation are as high as 40-50 per cent until the afternoon. However, the probability drops to 20-25 per cent after 1 PM local time. There could be a bit of rain after stumps, though. So, we might witness a few interruptions on the third day of this Test.
But having said that, Brisbane is known for its unpredictable weather, and it won't be surprising if the rain stays away and we get a chance to see the riveting contest between the two sides without any hiccups.
