Players often express their anger and frustration toward their teammates if something does not go according to plan. Similar to this, when Daryl Mitchell ignored Mark Chapman when he was running between the wickets during New Zealand's World Cup match against Sri Lanka, the latter lost all emotional control and became enraged with the veteran.

Chasing a paltry 172, New Zealand were in complete control before the incident took place. Chapman, during the 21st over of the innings, was not interested in taking a single after an inside edge off Angelo Mathews went to Sadeera Samarawickrama after hitting his pad.

Chapman continuously told Mitchell not to run, yet Mitchell kept on running and reached the strikers’ end. The youngster had no choice but to sacrifice his wicket, and he was furious at the experienced campaigner after the event.
