World Cup 2023 happening in India has been nothing short of entertaining with close games, drama, upsets and some display of outstanding cricket on the field. However, one more thing has caught fans' attention, which are some heated exchanges between players getting the desired attention during the game.

One such incident happened in the ongoing match between South Africa and Bangladesh, pacer Marco Jansen and batter Mahmudullah Riyad were involved in an on-field spat that occurred in the course of the 36th over.

It was the fifth ball of the over when the Bangladeshi batter top-edged one for four over the keeper's head, which Jansen didn't like as he went to the right-hander and gave him some words.

Mahmudullah didn't hold himself back, replying back with words to the bowler, which led to a confrontation between the two. After a few seconds, they went to back marks for the next delivery, which resulted in a single.

However, the tussle didn't stop there as they continued their scuffle when Mahmudullah reached the other end of the crease after completing the run and said a few more words.

Later, on Jansen's delivery, Mahmudullah was dropped by Lizaad Williams on 73 at mid-off, which could have been a victory for the bowler.

By the time of writing, Bangladesh were 223 for eight wickets while chasing the mammoth target of 383, with the experienced batter still at the crease batting on the score of 107, getting his fourth ODI hundred.
