[Watch] Mahmudullah Slams First World Cup 2023 Century For Bangladesh

Mahmudullah has been a pillar of Bangladesh cricket for a decade now and has played plenty of match-winning knocks for his country across formats over the years. He has been batting well in World Cup 2023 and has been a lone warrior for Bangla Tigers. At Wankhede, he has once again displayed his class with a majestic century against the Proteas when other Bangladesh batters were left high and dry against the South African attack.

Mahmudullah walked out to bat at number 6 with Bangladesh reeling at 81-6 and were never in the chase as South Africa posted a huge total of 382 on the board. However, Mahmudullah with his calm and calculated persona kept holding one end up and mixed caution with aggression beautifully to take himself to that magical three-figure mark in the 46th over of the game.

The veteran batter was the sole reason that Bangladesh could salvage some pride as he smashed 11 fours and 4 sixes on his way to run-a-ball 111. This was his fourth ODI century and the first one from Bangladeshi cricketer in this World Cup 2023.
