Talk about leading from the front - Bangladesh's captain Shakib Al Hasan delivered for this national team when it needed it the most. In his comeback match, the Bangladesh skipper scalped his opposite number, Aiden Markram, breaking a dangerous 131-run stand between the right-hander and Quinton de Kock.

Markram, who came out to bat with the scoreboard reading 36/2, amassed his second half-century -alongside a record-smashing century- of the tournament. And, as soon as he got to his fifty, he started shifting his gears, but played one too many strokes before marking a brilliant 69-ball 60.

Against the left-arm spin of Shakib, Markram tried playing an inside-out stroke but miscued it as the experienced tweaker gave extra air to the ball. Straight after hitting the ball, Markram got in agony as he shouted 'NO' after his bottom came off the handle.

After Markram's dismissal, de Kock kept his hold on the forte as he smashed his third century in the World Cup - the most by any Protea batter in the ICC event. The southpaw opener is currently accompanied by Heinrich Klaasen, who is in dashing form.

At the time of writing, South Africa are heading towards another monstrous total. As of now, the scoreboard reading 208/3 in 37 overs, with de Kock at 106* and Klaasen on 24 off 19 balls.
