Litton Das, who is going through the darkest phase of his cricket career, could not add much to the scoreboard on Monday (June 10) when Bangladesh faced South Africa in Match 21 of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.

In fact, Litton's dismissal will go down as arguably the softest wicket of the competition, as Keshav Maharaj's perfect trap worked out perfectly.

The wicket came on the first ball after the Powerplay, when South Africa skipper Aiden Markram introduced Keshav Maharaj into the attack. The left-arm spinner started with a juicy tossed up delivery, and Litton played with hard hands to play it past the cover fielder.

However, the Bangladesh opener hit straight to David Miller, who could not have the easier catch while being placed at short extra cover.

At the time of writing this, Bangladesh are 50/4 after 10.1 overs, with Towhid Hridoy and Mahmudullah in the middle. Bangladesh require 63 more runs off 57 balls to pull off an upset.
