In the 21st match of the T20 World Cup 2024 match between Bangladesh and South Africa at the Nassau County International Stadium, Heinrich Klaasen's counter-attacking innings came to an end as experienced Taskin Ahmed's sharp delivery uprooted Klaasen's middle-stump.

Despite losing four early wickets at a tough surface like Nassau Stadium, Klaasen stitched a 79-run stand for 5th wicket with David Miller which is the highest partnership for any wicket at this stadium.

Klaasen amassed 46(44), which featured three sixes and two fours. However, on the 3rd ball of the 18th over, Heinrich went for a big shot but could not judge the speed of the delivery and missed the ball which resulted in his middle stump being uprooted. 

Taskin also prevented Klaasen from becoming the second South African after David Miller to  score a half-century at the Nassau County Stadium. 

Despite Klaasen's counter-attack and taking South Africa out of the trouble, the Proteas failed to put a big score on the board and gave a target of just 114 runs for Bangladesh to chase, who are looking for their second straight win of this edition. Meanwhile, the Proteas are looking for a win to qualify for the super 8.
