In the Elimination Final of The Hundred Women’s 2024 between London Spirit Women and Oval Invincibles Women, England's wicket-keeper Lauren Winfield-Hill produced a moment of brilliance behind the stumps at Kensington on August 17.

Chasing a modest target of 113 set by Lauren Winfield-Hill's Oval Invincibles Women, London Spirit Women were initially cruising. However, Lauren Winfield-Hill's sharp stumping changed the momentum briefly. 

Right-handed batter Cordelia Griffith, who had scored 1 run off 5 balls, fell victim to a superb delivery from Amanda-Jade Wellington on the 47th ball of the innings.

Wellington bowled a flighted leg break outside off, which sharply turned away from Griffith after pitching. Misjudging the turn, Griffith stepped out of her crease, attempting to play a forceful shot but missed completely. 

Winfield-Hill, alert and quick behind the stumps, collected the ball cleanly and whipped off the bails in a flash before Griffith could recover.

Despite the setback, London Spirit Women regrouped, with Georgia Redmayne leading the charge with an unbeaten 53 off 47 balls. They comfortably sealed the victory by 8 wickets, securing their place in the Hundred 2024 Women's final.
