In the thrilling 27th match of the Top End T20 2024 at Darwin's DXC Arena, Muhammad Irfan Khan registered his maiden T20 century.

Pakistan Shaheens, riding on Irfan's remarkable innings, secured a commanding 91-run victory over the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Comets.

Batting first, Shaheens faced early struggles, losing four wickets for just 48 runs. However, Irfan Khan (106 off 56 balls) and Haseebullah (49* off 34 balls) rescued their side with a stunning 140-run fifth-wicket partnership.

Irfan's explosive knock included 14 boundaries and two sixes, propelling Shaheens to a formidable total of 202/6 in their allotted 20 overs.

In response, ACT Comets collapsed under Shaheens' dominant bowling attack, managing only 111 runs in 16.1 overs. Mubasir Khan (2-25), Arif Yaqoob (4-36), and Arafat (3-21) were the stars with the ball, dismantling the Comets' batting lineup.

A brief partnership between Tyler van Luin (29) and Zak Keogh (26) provided some resistance, but their efforts were in vain as Shaheens' spinners ran riot, claiming all ten wickets.

With this comprehensive win, Pakistan Shaheens finished the league stage atop the points table, having won five out of six games. Their victory secured them a spot in the semi-finals, alongside Adelaide Strikers, Bangladesh 'A', and Northern Territory Strike.
