The eighth game of the Women's Hundred between the Nothern Superchangers and the Southern Braves saw a dramatic game. Both teams posted a total of 100 in their quota of 20 sets and the match ended in a tie.

Southern Brave struggle to a total of 100

The Southern Brave won the toss in the game and opted to bat first. They stuttered throughout the innings and could only managed 100/8 in their quota of 100 balls. Chole Tryon was the highest run-scorer for the Brave with 25 runs off 24 balls. Linsey Smith was the pick of the bowlers for the Northern Superchargers as she picked up 2 wickets for 24 runs off her 20 balls.

The Superchargers also did not have a good start to their innings. It was Lauren Bell who picked early wickets and shoched them. Bell looked in a brilliant form as she also picked up the wicket of Annabel Sutherland soon and put the chasing team under real pressure.

Lauren Bell keeps her calm in the final over of the game

Alice Richards and Phoebe Litchfield stitched the partnership in the middle-order and kept the Superchargers in the game. However, the Brave made a come back with string of wickets. The match boiled down to such a stage where seven runs were needed of the last set.

The responsibility of the last set was once again on Lauren Bell. The English bowler was having a great day and responded brilliantly under pressure. She picked up a wicket of the third delivery and brought the spectators to the edge of the seats. Kate Cross kept her composure in the end and took couple of runs off the last delivery to end the match in a tie. The Hundred does not have the rule of super set in the league stage and hence the game ended with the two teams sharing a point each.

Notably, this is the first ever tied game in the history of the Women's Hundred.
