The Southern Brave are putting up a good fight against the Northern Superchargers in the eighth match of The Women's Hundred 2024. The Brave batted first after winning the toss in this game at the Headingley in Leeds. 

The Brave struggled throughout their innings and could only muster 100/8 in their quota of 100 balls. They needed their bowlers to step up in order to put the Superchargers on the back foot in this moderate chase. 


Hollie Armitage might have hoped for her prime bowlers like Lauren Bell, Lauren Cheatle and Tilly Coleman to pick up early wickets. Lauren Bell responded to the demands for her captain and picked up three early wickets.

In her first three sets, Bell picked up three wickets for five runs with 12 dot balls. Here is a look at Marie Kelly wicket, where Bell fooled the batter with a in-swinger. Bell also picked up the wicket of Annabel Sutherland in this spell. Sutherland is someone who can change the complexion of a game pretty quickly with her power hitting. 

As a result of the brilliant spell by Bell, the Brave are in the game even after the half-way stage in the second innings and the Superchargers have not been able to run away with the match.
