The Southern Brave Women are playing against the Northern Superchargers Women in the eighth match of The Women's Hundred 2024. This match is being played at the Headingley in Leeds. 

The Southern Braves won the toss in the match and opted to bat first. The Superchargers made a great start to the match as they mad light work of the Braves' batting line-up. After 1 26-run opening partnership, the Braves lost three wickets while adding a single run in a span of five deliveries. This put them in a great trouble in the match and they are finding hard to get out of the hole. 


Armitage puts in a brilliant fielding effort

After the top order of the Braves comprising of Bouchier, Wyatt and Knott being dismissed, they were reliant on batters like Georgia Adams, Freya Kemp and Chole Tryon to get them going. However, the skipper of the Northern Superchargers, Hollie Armitage ensured that Adams departs quickly with a brilliant effort on the field. 

On the second delivery of the seventh set, Adams was looking to take a quick single after pushing the ball to short mid-wicket region. Hollie Armitage, who was fielding there collected the ball and threw it towards the non-striker's end. The ball hit the stumps on the direct hit with Adams short of the crease. It was a brilliant effort by Armitage that reminded the audience of the legendary fielder from the South African team, Jonty Rhodes.
