[Watch] Kyle Mayers Hits Bull's Eye as Suryakumar Yadav Departs Early in 2nd T20I

Swashbuckling Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav continued his poor run, managing a solitary run in the second T20I of the five-match series against West Indies at Providence Stadium in Guyana. Experienced Caribbean all-rounder Kyle Mayers emerged as his nemesis, as his direct hit found Yadav short of his crease.

The incident happened in the fourth over after India suffered an early setback, losing Shubman Gill early in the innings. After keeping it tight in the first two balls, Obed McCoy bowled a back-of-the-length delivery, as Ishan Kishan tucked it on the leg side. In order to rotate strike, Yadav called for a risky single and ran instantly after Kishan completed the shot.

However, his decision turned out to be a nightmare for the MI batter, as Kyle Mayers covered a certain distance to pick the ball up and hit the bull's eye before he reached the striker's end.

As India had lost Gill, it was a golden opportunity for Yadav to rise to the occasion and silence his critics. However, unfortunately, it didn't happen, as he made his way back to the dugout with only one run to his name.

After Yadav's departure, Tilak Varma and Ishan Kishan formed a brisk 42-run stand, which was eventually broken by Romario Shepherd. As of writing, the visitors are in a spot of bother, reeling at 76 for three in eleven overs, with Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson batting on 29* and 7*, respectively.
