KL Rahul, who used to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the past and also represents Karnataka in India’s domestic tournaments, had a breezy start against his former franchise on Tuesday while captaining Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

However, it did not last long, as Rahul’s breezy cameo came to an end after Glenn Maxwell drew the first blood during the sixth over of LSG’s innings.

Batting on 20 off 14 balls, Rahul tried to play a lofted drive against Maxwell, only to find a huge top edge. The ball went high above the sky, and came straight to the safe hands of Mayank Dagar at extra cover, leaving Rahul in complete frustration.

However, Rahul's dismissal did not make any impact on the batting flow of Quinton de Kock, who has been tearing apart RCB bowlers since coming to open the innings. At the time of writing, de Kock is batting on 43* off 28 balls, while Devdutt Padikkal, another former RCB player, is on 6* off 10 balls. LSG, meanwhile, are 71/1 after 8.4 overs.
