KL Rahul is one of the most classical batters in Indian cricket currently and his batting is surely a sight to behold. He is back in Test cricket for India's tour of South Africa, this time as a middle order wicketkeeper batter and has found himself in a tricky position straightaway. 

He came out to bat at number 6 with India 92-4 on the first day of the Boxing Day Test and soon India were reduced to 121-6. KL Rahul is batting solidly though and is stitching good partnership with Shardul Thakur. He has mixed caution with aggression beautifully and has taken every opportunity that has come his way.

The six he hit to Marco Jansen though was the trademark KL Rahul shot. The effortless elegance and class written over it mesmerised the capacity crowd assembled at Centurion.

Marco Jansen came running in from 'round the wicket and bowled it full and outside off. KL Rahul lunged forward and played a lofted cover drive over deep extra cover for a maximum. India though lost Shardul Thakur after a decent stand and Indian bowlers now need to stick with Rahul if India want to put a competitive total on the board.
