Riding on bowlers' exceptional performance, Kolkata Knight Riders ran through Sunrisers Hyderabad's batting line-up in the all-important IPL 2024 qualifier at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Opting to bat first, SRH had a horrible start to their innings, losing Travis Head to Mitchell Starc's dream delivery. His opening partner Abhishek Sharma also departed cheaply, with Andre Russell's magnificent catch leading to his departure.

Although Rahul Tripathi slammed a fighting fifty, the likes of Nitish Reddy and Shahbaz Ahmed let the Orange Army down, recording single digit scores.

Keeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen got a superb start, but Varun Chakravarthy got the better of him, thanks to a superb running catch from Rinku Singh.

The story continued to repeat for SRH as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. While half-centurion Rahul Tripathi was run out, Abdul Samad and Sanvir Singh failed to fire, registering low scores.

As the Orange Army surrendered before the rampant Knight Riders, SRH owner Kavya Maran was captured in a tensed state in the stands. Her team's abysmal performance took a toll on Kavya, who seemed heartbroken during the first half of the game.

Meanwhile, SRH have fallen flat in the game, tottering at 156 for nine in 19 overs, with skipper Pat Cummins fighting like a lone warrior at one end.
