Riding on the exceptional performance from their players, Kolkata Knight Riders entered the final of the IPL 2024 with a thumping win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in a one-sided contest at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

Batting first, the Sunrisers could post a paltry 159-run total on the board as the Knight Riders rattled them with sheer accuracy and discipline. In response, KKR chased down the total successfully, with their top four batters contributing handsomely on a batting beauty. 

Meanwhile, besides KKR's clinical outing, what grabbed the limelight was SRH owner Kavya Maran's animated reaction after Sunil Narine survived a close LBW call. 

The incident occurred in the third over of KKR's innings when Narine and Rahmanullah Gurbaz were trying to get them off to a flying start. 

Bowling the first ball of his second over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered a full-length ball around leg as Narine was beaten comprehensively while trying to slog it away in the leg side. 

As the SRH players appealed for a leg before, the on-field umpire was unmoved, declaring the Windies all-rounder not out. 

Although the Orange Army went upstairs, the TV umpire found the pitching outside the leg stump and asked his on-field colleague to stay with his original decision. 

Meanwhile, Kavya couldn't believe that the ball was pitched outside leg as the event evoked a shocking animated reaction from her. 

Regarding SRH, the Pat Cummins-led side will have another chance to enter the final as they will take on the winner of RCB vs RR eliminator clash scheduled tomorrow.
