Rinku Singh smartly avoided a dangerous collision with Venkatesh Iyer on Tuesday (May 21) to help Varun Chakravarthy enjoy Heinrich Klaasen's wicket in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2024 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Soon after, he celebrated like Rashid Khan with extended arms in Ahmedabad, where Afghanistan all-rounder plays most of the IPL matches for Gujarat Titans.

Needless to say, it was a game-changing moment for KKR, as SRH were in a counter-attacking mode before got the wicket of the South African hard-hitter.

Coming to bowl the 11th over of SRH's innings, mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy bowled a full delivery outside the off stump to tempt Klaasen to go big. The wicket-keeper batter did exactly that, but there was no perfect timing, resulting in the ball remaining inside the boundary ropes.

Rinku and Venkatesh Iyer charged from two ends to claim the catch before the former eventually grabbed it, and avoided a serious collision.

At the time of writing this, SRH are 125/8 in 15.2 overs, with Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the middle, on 3* and 0* respectively. KKR are on a roll, while SRH are in tatters.
