In a sensational display of fast bowling in The Women's Hundred 2024 Match 15 at Lord's, Oval Invincibles Women's star all-rounder Marizanne Kapp tore through the London Spirit batting order with clinical precision.

The South African sensation’s feat on Sunday left spectators and opponents alike gobsmacked, especially after sending London Spirit Women captain Heather Knight back to the pavillion with a delivery that was nothing short of a bowler's dream.

It all happened on the 50th ball of London Spirit's innings, as Marizanne Kapp charged in and unleashed a menacing good-length delivery. The ball, with a deceptive seam movement off the pitch, proved too cunning for Knight.

Attempting to defend, Heather Knight was bamboozled as the ball zipped past her outside edge and hit the top of the off stump. This dismissal not only showcased Kapp’s brilliance but also left Knight thunderstruck.

Earlier in the innings, Kapp had already set the stage alight by bowling out key players like Meg Lanning, Cordelia Griffith, and Georgia Redmayne, showcasing her knack for targeting the stumps relentlessly.

With Knight’s crucial wicket, Kapp etched her name in the records as the bowler with the most four-wicket hauls in the history of The Hundred Women’s competition.

Meanwhile, at the time of writing this article, London Spirit Women find themselves reeling at 86/6 after 82 balls.

Despite the chaos, Deepti Sharma, the Indian veteran, is at the crease batting on 32 off 26 balls, trying to salvage her team's innings alongside Eva Gray.

The duo faces the arduous task of propelling their team to a competitive total, hoping to inject some late fireworks into their faltering innings.
