It was another hard day for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans, as Rajasthan Royals (RR) Jos Buttler chose the Royal nemesis to return to form. The Englishman smashed his sixth century in the Indian Premier League (IPL), spoiling the night for Virat Kohli, who notched a hundred earlier in the evening.

Buttler picked a special night as the Rajasthan team played against RCB for the Women Empowerment Initiative. Apart from that, it was the English smasher's 100th IPL match, and he became the second player to score a ton in the landmark game.

Earlier in the chase, Buttler and Sanju Samson laid a perfect foundation with a 148-run partnership after losing Yashasvi Jaiswal on a duck in the first over. However, the duo didn't let the RCB bowlers smell any chance of winning.

The RR hard-hitting duo, in a display of sheer dominance, virtually smashed a couple of boundaries in every over possible, especially going after the spinners - Mayank Dayank and Himanshu Sharma.

Samson hit his second half-century of the season before Mohammed Siraj got rid of the RR captain. Buttler batted till the end for his team's cause, smashing the first ball of the last over for a six when his side needed 1 run to win.

With this victory against RCB, Rajasthan have topped the points table, winning four off four matches in the IPL 2024.
