If the first innings of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) versus Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) belonged to Virat Kohli, Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler are bossing in the chase at Jaipur on Saturday.

Against a frail RCB bowling, the RR captain Sanju Samson completed his second half-century of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). And he reached to the milestone with a cracking maximum off Mayank Dagar.

As RCB's left-arm spinner came to bowl the 11th over, the explosive Samson greeted the tweaker with a boundary through covers before tonking a long ball over the bowler's head for a biggie.

As it looks, Sanju Samson's valiant efforts have certainly overshadowed Virat Kohli's show, who smashed his 8th IPL century earlier in the evening.

In the chase, Samson got well and truly supported by the RR star opener, Buttler, who slammed his first half-century of the season. However, the RR skipper was removed via a bouncer off Mohammed Siraj's bowling, but the Englishman is still holding the forte.

RCB got two quick wickets in the fag-end of the chase, but the game seems long gone for the tourists.

At the time of publishing, RR is at 155-3 after 15.4 overs, needing 29 runs off 26 balls.
