Ace all-rounder Roston Chase stepped up with the ball as he got the prized scalp of Jos Buttler in the ongoing T20 World Cup match between West Indies and England at Daren Sammy Stadium in St Lucia.

Chasing 181, England were off to a steady start, with Buttler and Phil Salt unleashing their beast mode against the Windies bowlers. However, Chase broke England's momentum, getting rid of Buttler in a crucial juncture.

The incident occurred during the eighth over of England's innings when Buttler and Salt had already formed a scintillating stand.

West Indies skipper Rovman Powell's bold decision to bring Chase into the attack paid rich dividends for the co-hosts as the off-spinner deceived Buttler with a beauty.

After conceding three consecutive singles, Chase bowled a full-length ball when he saw Buttler coming down the track. The English captain missed out on a flick, with the ball striking him on full near his boots.

As soon as the Windies players appealed, the on-field umpire raised his finger, declaring Buttler out without any hesitation. Although the explosive batter challenged the decision by going upstairs, it went in vain, with the TV umpire finding three reds in the Hawkeye.

Meanwhile, despite losing Buttler, England are well and truly alive in the chase, courtesy of Phil Salt's fireworks. As of writing, the visitors were 83 for one at the halfway mark, with Salt and Moeen Ali batting on 42* and 13*, respectively.
