[Watch] Jos Buttler Gets Massive Trolling As He Makes Howler In Haywire DRS

The first T20I between England and New Zealand ended being a one-sided affair as the former downed the latter by seven wickets at Chester-le-Street. New Zealand batting first managed just 139 runs as Luke Wood and Brydon Carse claimed three wickets apiece, respectively.

England were helped by knocks from Dawid Malan and Harry Brook, who scored 54 and 43* respectively, as the Three Lions took a 1-0 lead in the four T20I series.

However, what caught the attention of commentators, and fans was England skipper Jos Buttler's DRS review. With Glenn Phillips being the last batsman for the Kiwis in the middle, Buttler decided to opt for a DRS call despite bowler Liam Livingstone showing no interest after a leg-before appeal was turned down in the 15th over.

As replay suggested the ball was nowhere near the pads and struck the middle of the bat, much to the embarrassment of Buttler.

Former Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal decided to take DRS after being convinced by Taskin Ahmed, who had Adil Rashid defend a toe-crushing yorker. In the reply, the ball hit the middle of Rashid's bat and bunted into the pitch, which was nowhere near the pads.

With this win, England have gained a 1-0 lead and will play the second T20I on September 1 at Old Trafford in Manchester. The T20Is will be followed by four ODIs as well.
