 The second match of the Asia Cup 2023 unfolded with Bangladesh winning the toss and opting to set the target on the scoreboard. As the battle between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka commenced.

The opening partnership featured Mohammad Naim and the debutant Tanzid Hasan. Sri Lanka's Dilshan Madushanka Rajitha was entrusted with the responsibility of opening the bowling and setting the tone for his team.

A moment in the match arrived when M Theekshana delivered a mesmerizing delivery that drifted in subtly. The young Tanzid Hasan, deep in his crease and lacking in connection, saw his back leg being struck. Tanzid's innings is cut short as he departs for LBW, having scored 0 runs off 2 deliveries.

Early on, Naim displayed his elegance with a series of exquisite drives that, unfortunately for him, failed to yield the desired outcomes.
