Balding is a common issue for many men. It's often a natural part of the ageing process and can be influenced by genetics, hormones, and other factors. However, it's important to note that there are various treatments and options available for those who wish to address or manage hair loss. One such treatment is a hair transplant, which was recently opted for by Indian bowler Mohammed Shami.

Shami has reportedly undergone a hair transplant ahead of the 2023 Asia Cup, which began yesterday (August 30). The facility that Shami chose for his hair treatment, known as Euginix Hair Sciences, has said that it has successfully completed the hair restoration and transplant process.

"Overall, I felt really good because treatment is one thing, but the behaviour of the staff and the treatment process – everything was very good and all of them were very supportive. Now, let’s observe what happens," Shami said in a video posted by the facility that did his treatment.

India skipper Rohit Sharma has also been dealing with visible bald patches on his head. In the recent Test series against West Indies, Rohit Sharma did not remove his helmet after scoring a century because of 'hair issues'.

"Take the helmet off Rohit, you've scored a century, come on!" Windies wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva was heard saying on the stump mic. "Nah, I've got hair problems," Rohit cheekily replied. In the past, the batsman's receding hairline has been a matter of discussion on social media.

On the work front, Shami will next be seen in action in the Asia Cup. Team India will open their Asia Cup campaign against Pakistan on September 2nd in Pallekele.

Shami is renowned for his ability to generate pace and seam movement with the cricket ball. His skills make him a potent weapon in all formats of the game. He has so far played a total of 90 ODIs for India, from which he has taken 162 wickets at an average of 25.98 and an economy of 5.60.
