Jonny Bairstow’s poor run with the bat continues as he flopped once again in the ongoing The Hundred contest between the London Spirit and the Welsh Fire.

He failed in the first game of The Hundred this season, and couldn’t do much against a rampant London Spirit bowling attack. The Welsh Fire had an unusual start to the match, playing out ten dot balls in a row, which is a record in this format.

In an attempt to score some runs and get out of jail, Tom Kohler-Cadmore went for a slog and was taken out at mid-on by Andre Russell.

Frustration crept inside Bairstow when he only managed to play 3 deliveries in the first 36 balls. As a result, he went for an unnecessary heave and lost his wicket.

The Aussie pacer, Nathan Ellis bowled a length ball at the stumps and Bairstow went through with his wild swing, and the stumps were knocked over.

This is his third successive low score in the competition, having previously scored 18, and 5 in the two matches that he has played. Once Bairstow departed, the other batters fell like a pack of cards and are struggling to even reach the 100-run mark.
