Joe Root after scoring his 32nd Test century (x.com)
England's modern-day legend, Joe Root, registered his 32nd Test century against the West Indies on Day 4 of the Trent Bridge Test match, equalling the tally of Steve Waugh, Steve Smith and Kane Williamson.
The 33-year-old English batter raced away to the milestone cracking, crunching a drive through point against Alzarri Joseph to reach the milestone in the post-tea session. With this hundred, Root has completed five centuries at the venue.
It is worth mentioning that it is the Englishman's 48th international century, the second-most century-getter among active cricketers - after Virat Kohli (80) and Rohit Sharma (48).
