Whenever a left-handed batter elegantly plays a cover drive, the one player who gets popped out in everyone's mind is Kumar Sangakkara. 

The Sri Lankan legendary batter used to play this particular shot gorgeously, and Ben Stokes recreated it on Sunday when England were up against the West Indies in Trent Bridge.

The shot came during the 71st over of England's second innings when West Indies brought in Jayden Seales into the attack. It was a slightly full delivery by the West Indies speedster, and Stokes played handsomely through covers for a gorgeous four.

Even a few reactions from the West Indies camp proved how stupendous the cover drive was by Stokes, who, however, failed to do much damage after that.

Stokes fell for a paltry 19-ball 8, as Seales got the big wicket four overs later. England, at the time of writing this, are 364/6, leading the West Indies by 323 runs in the second innings.

Earlier, the West Indies put up a strong fight, posting 457 runs on the board in reply to England's 416. The visitors, having down 0-1, are desperately looking to level the series before the decider.
