The greatest players do know how to make the crowd go wild on their returns, and Jasprit Bumrah is certainly one of them. The 29-year-old, who came back to the field after nearly a year away, could not have imagined a better comeback ahead of India's first T20I of the three-match series against Ireland.
After winning the toss and asking Ireland to bat first, Bumrah, however, did not have an ideal start with the ball in hand. Andy Balbirnie got off the mark with a beautiful four off Bumrah’s opening ball, which was pitched full on his pads.
But Bumrah had his response ready. The next delivery he bowled was of good length and swung sharply, taking Balbirnie's off stump with it. Unsurprisingly, the moment Bumrah secured the wicket with a vicious inswinger, the crowd went wild.

That was not all from Bumrah to win his ardent fans once more. Three balls later, Lorcan Tucker attempted to hit a ramp shot but received a top edge instead, giving him another wicket. The ball went straight to Sanju Samson’s big gloves behind the stumps, and Bumrah, as usual, did not show much emotion on the field despite giving a double breakthrough inside five balls.
