IPL sensations Rinku Singh and Prasidh Krishna are set to make their T20I debut in the first match against Ireland.

Rinku, who had a stellar IPL 2023 season, received his maiden India call-up when the squad was announced, and now the southpaw will get his chance to prove his mettle at the international stage.

Prasidh, was out for a while due to a stress fracture, and he makes his long-awaited return in the India squad.

IRE vs IND: Toss updates

Jasprit Bumrah makes his international comeback after almost 11 months, and the stand-in skipper for the Ireland series won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rinku turned out to be the biggest match-winner for the franchise. The middle-order batter amassed 474 runs, at an average of nearly 60 and a strike-rate of 149.52. Ever-since the conclusion of the IPL, there was a buzz going around that the Indian team management will try out Rinku as a finisher in the T20I setup.

Talking about Prasidh, the lanky pacer missed the IPL 2023 season due to a stress fracture, but has recovered well from the injury and is looking to stamp his authority in the Indian setup. The Karnataka pacer has represented India in 14 ODI matches, picking up 25 wickets.

Interestingly, Sanju Samson, who had a poor T20I outing against the Windies keeps his place for the first game.

There is a 97% chance of rain in the first T20I, and as a result, skipper Bumrah has decided to test his bowlers under overcast conditions.
