The 7th T20 match of the Big Cricket League 2024 was nothing short of a banger as fans became nostalgic for Irfan Pathan. The former Indian all-rounder gave a show to the crowd at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium with his big hits.

In the match between Mumbai Marines and Rajasthan Regals on December 15th, Irfan Pathan's late fireworks for frequent sixes sent the balls sailing to the stands delighting the crowds.

Irfan Pathan Schools Regals' Shukla With Massive Sixes

Irfan came in to bat for the Mumbai Marines in the 17th over when the team was standing at 193/3. Starting off slow, Pathan picked up the pace in the last over and gave a massive push to Marines' total. He hammered Rajasthan Regals' Rahul Shukla for three sixes in the last over to put up a show.

Irfan Pathan hit Shukla with powerful slogs to long-on and deep midwicket. These slogs delighted the fans, reminding them of the all-rounder's impressive performances in the IPL and while representing India.

Regals Fail To Reply Marines' Fireworks

In the match, Pathan's innings proved crucial in helping the Marines surpass the 200-run mark. Mihir Agarwal contributed a solid 53 runs, while Jesal Karia excelled with a century off 56 balls, anchoring the Marines' innings. Pathan's late performance enabled the team to set a formidable total of 212 runs.

In response, the Regals started strongly with Samarth Srinivas scoring 50 runs off 28 balls and Tillakaratne Dilshan adding 22 runs off 14 balls. However, Karia and Shivam Kumar quickly dismantled their batting lineup soon after, as Regals fell like a house of cards.

Only Amit Verma and Prashant Yadav put up a fight with their innings, but Karia, Malinda Pushpakumara, and Manan Sharma effectively restricted them bowling them out for a total of 169 runs.
