After bailing Multan Sultans out of trouble through his belligerent cameo, veteran finisher Iftikhar Ahmed showcased his fielding brilliance in the PSL final, as his stunning catch led to Colin Munro's dismissal off Khushdil Shah. 

The incident occurred in the fourth over when Multan Sultans' captain Mohammad Rizwan decided to continue part-time spinner Khushdil Shah at one end. 

His bold call paid rich dividends for the Sultans, as the left-arm spinner dismissed Colin Munro, who was looking sublime in the middle. 

Bowling from over the wicket, Khushdil delivered a good length ball targeted at Munro's body, with the latter whacking it aerially in the on side. 

However, as the ball flew rapidly with a flat trajectory, Iftikhar, stationed at mid-wicket dived towards his right to take a sensational catch. 

Often ridiculed for his age, Iftikhar thus silenced his critics with the incredible effort. After holding on to the catch, the experienced batting all-rounder was pumped up, celebrating the dismissal with his teammates. 

Khushdil exhibited his bowling prowess yet again in the game when he got the prized scalp of Agha Salman via a caught and bowled dismissal. 

Earlier in the game, a scintillating fifty from Usman Khan and Iftikhar's stunning cameo propelled the Sultans to a defendable total, despite Imad Wasim's bowling heroics. 

Chasing 160, the United are 55 for two in eight overs, with Shadab Khan and Martin Guptill batting on 4* and 23*, respectively.
