[Watch] Iftikhar Ahmed Hits a Huge Straight Six Off Pramod Madushan in Asia Cup

Pakistan had a shaky start to their innings during the ongoing Asia Cup Super Four Clash against Sri Lanka. While Fakhar Zaman was cleaned up by Pramod Madushan, young spinner Dunith Wellalage dismissed Babar Azam to push Pakistan on the back foot. However, following the turmoil, a sensational sixth wicket stand between Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan helped Pakistan make a remarkable comeback into the game, powering them to a respectable total.

While Rizwan smashed a blistering half century, Iftikhar unleashed his beast mode after the rain interruption, scoring some priceless runs for his side.

Regarded as an explosive finisher, the experienced all-rounder's moment of glory came during the 33rd over when he clobbered Madushan for a gigantic six on a free-hit delivery.

Bowling his fifth over, Madushan, who was impressive in his first spell, delivered a no ball and paid a hefty price for it. Iftikhar, who took the strike on the free-hit delivery, capitalised on the full length ball, dispatching it into the stands for a massive six over the bowler's head.

Riding on the blistering partnership between Rizwan and Iftikhar, Pakistan have raced to 209 for five in 38 overs as of writing. Considering they have four overs left, we reckon they will set a slightly above-par target for the Lankans on the tricky Colombo surface.
