India's bowling coach, Paras Mhambrey, expressed his delight at the return of Jasprit Bumrah, stating that it has strengthened their fast-bowling arsenal as they prepare for the upcoming ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India.

Bumrah made a successful comeback to the Indian team during the tour of Ireland, marking the end of his year-long injury layoff. Mhambrey mentioned that they closely monitored Bumrah's progress during his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and are pleased with the positive reports.

"We have been following Bumrah's progress from the NCA, and we are very happy with the report that we have got," Paras Mhambrey said ahead of India's Super-four match against Bangladesh on Friday.

Having four quality fast bowlers in Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur at their disposal is a valuable asset for the Indian team as they gear up for the World Cup.

Mhambrey acknowledged that having an abundance of talented bowlers to choose from is always a welcome "problem" for the team management. Bumrah's presence in the Asia Cup has been a significant boost, and his performance has indicated that he is back to being the formidable force he has been in international cricket for nearly seven years.

“Now, we have four quality bowlers, and it is always great to have those options. The problem of plenty is always good," added Mhambrey.

Bumrah is currently playing in the Asia Cup and he has looked every bit the potent force he has been for nearly seven years in international cricket and that’s a massive plus for Rohit Sharma-led team India.

India are poised to face Bangladesh in the final Super Four match of the 2023 Asia Cup. However, with India having secured their spot in the final and Bangladesh eliminated from contention, the upcoming encounter holds no significant bearing on the tournament's outcome.
