Kohli's post lit up the platform with a staggering 8.7 million likes and 397 thousand comments by Wednesday morning. Among all the celebrities legendary cricketers like Virender Sehwag, Kevin Petersen and Brett showered blessing through their comments in the post.

"Many Congratulations Virat" Sehwag commented with a heart emoji.

Kohli, having shared the field with cricketing icons, has been absent from the game for a while now, leaving fans eagerly awaiting his return. Virat was last seen on the field while Afghanistan was touring India for T20i series earlier this year.

Virat Kohli, the stalwart of Indian cricket, was initially slated to grace the Test squad against England. However, citing personal reasons, he withdrew from the first two matches. Despite hopes for his return in the subsequent games, his absence persisted, casting a shadow over his participation.

On 20th February, Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced an updated 16th member squad for the fourth Test, that confirmed Kohli's continued unavailability, signaling his unfortunate omission from the entire series.
