Colin Munro and Iftikhar Ahmed fight (Source:@IF7____/X.com)
The 10th season of Pakistan Super League is turning out to be quite interesting with plenty of twists and turns. However, the 13th match between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United produced an ugly fight, after Colin Munro, the Kiwi star playing for Islamabad United made serious allegations of chucking on Iftikhar Ahmed.
Multan Sultans Players React Angrily To Munro's Allegations
The incident happened in the 10th over of Islamabad United's innings. The third ball of the over was fired in the blockhole by Iftikhar and Munro only managed to block it out. Immediately after defending it, Colin Munro made a gesture towards Iftikhar that he is chucking, and it naturally irritated the bowler.
The Pakistan bowler was quick to reply back to Munro, stating that it is not the batter's job to tell him about his action. He then went to the umpire, and there was clear tension in the air with Multan Sultans skipper, Mohammad Rizwan also getting involved in a heated altercation with Munro.
The umpires then had a chat with Munro and other players as tensions started escalating. Things were sorted out eventually, but Iftikhar continued with his blockhole bowling and fired two consecutive yorkers after the incident.
Munro eventually ended up scoring 45 off just 28 balls with five fours and two sixes in his knock. His team Islamabad United managed to chase down the target of 169 with ease and it was Andries Gous who led the chase with brilliant unbeaten 80 off just 45 balls. It would be interesting to see the development of the allegations made by Colin Munro, but it was an accusation that clearly did not go well with the Multan Sultans unit.
