Islamabad United made it five wins on the bounce in PSL 2025 as they breezed past Multan Sultans by seven wickets in Match 13 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Chasing 169, United barely broke a sweat, getting the job done with 17 balls to spare and keeping their unbeaten streak alive.

Yasir Khan And Mohammad Rizwan Set The Wheels In Motion

Multan Sultans got off the blocks quickly, thanks to a blistering opening partnership between Yasir Khan and skipper Mohammad Rizwan.


Yasir came out with all guns blazing, smacking 29 off just 17 balls before falling to Mohammad Nawaz.

Mohammad Rizwan played the anchor's role to perfection, nudging the ball around and keeping the scoreboard ticking with a run-a-ball 36. The duo stitched a solid 51-run stand that laid the foundation and helped Multan cross 90 without much fuss. It wasn’t fireworks all the way, but the two made sure they kept Islamabad honest during the first half.


Usman Khan Takes Charge Before The Late Wobble

Once Yasir and Rizwan departed, it was Usman Khan who took charge. He batted with flair and smashed 61 off just 40 balls with four cracking boundaries and four massive sixes. He even brought up his fifty in just 29 balls.

Farhan And Gous Fire In The Powerplay

Islamabad United got off to a flying start with Sahibzada Farhan and Andries Gous coming out swinging. Farhan wasted no time, throwing the kitchen sink at everything early on. He smoked 22 off just 13 balls before falling to Ubaid Shah, but by then, the tone had already been set.

Gous picked up from there and didn’t look back. He looked in complete control, cracking boundaries with ease and clearing the ropes whenever needed. By the end of the powerplay, United were cruising at 69/1 with the scoreboard ticking like clockwork.


Gous Takes Charge, Munro Joins The Party

Once Farhan departed, Colin Munro stepped in and brought his usual flamboyance to the middle. He matched Gous stroke-for-stroke, smashing 45 off 28 with five boundaries and two sixes. The pair stitched together a game-breaking partnership, making Multan’s 168 look way too small.

Even after Munro’s departure, Gous kept going full throttle and reached an unbeaten 80 off just 45 balls, with six fours and five sixes to his name.


Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with 21 before falling near the end, but by then, the job was almost done. 


Islamabad United chased down the target in just 17.1 overs with seven wickets in hand to remain undefeated in the tournament.
