Wanindu Hasaranga struck the first ball on Saturday when Sri Lanka were up against India in Pallekele in the first T20I of their three-match series.

More significantly, it was a massive wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who looked ominous throughout the Powerplay.

Hasaranga, the former Sri Lanka T20I captain, bowled a wrong 'un to Jaiswal to kick things off. The India opener did not pick it up at all, leaving him imbalanced out of the crease.

Kusal Mendis did the rest, as his lightning-quick stumping, which reminded fans of MS Dhoni, made sure Jaiswal had to depart.

India, despite losing Jaiswal, are on a roll against Sri Lanka. Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant are in the middle, as Shubman Gill lost his wicket before Jaiswal's departure.

At the time of writing this, India are 146/2 after 13 overs, with Suryakumar Yadav batting strong, on 54* off 24 balls. Rishabh Pant, on the other hand, is on 16* off 17 deliveries, as he needs to shift his gears to help the Men in Blue finish with a strong total.

For Sri Lanka, Hasaranga has been magnificent, picking 1/22 off his three overs.
