The Indian fans are enjoying a cricket-filled Sunday. After facing a tough defeat against Australia Women, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Co. are facing the West Indies Women in the three-match T20I series. In the ongoing first T20I match of the series, ace Indian batter Smriti Mandhana completed her 28th T20I half-century and received huge applause.

The Mumbai crowd is witnessing a thrilling T20I contest between India Women and West Indies Women. While batting first, the Indian batters showcased exceptional form. After Smriti Mandhana reached her half-century mark, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and the entire team gave a standing ovation. That heartwarming moment grabbed the limelight.

After a tough series against Australia Women, the India Women's team is back at home. On home soil, Harmanpreet Kaur and CO. are facing West Indies Women in a thrilling T20 series. As the first T20I match is taking place in Mumbai, the crowd witnessed a thrilling knock of Smriti Mandhana.

In the 14th over, Karishma Ramharack came to roll her arms and Mandhana was on strike. After taking a single in the first ball of the over, she smashed her 28th T20I half-century. The entire stadium erupted in excitement, acknowledging her milestone.

But the special appreciation was yet to come. After the half-century moment,  captain Harmanpreet Kaur and the entire team rose from the dugout and applauded with a heartfelt standing ovation. The unforgettable moment of appreciation captured everyone’s heart.


Combined Effort Led India To Put On Big Score

As the DY Patil Sports Academy is hosting the first T20I clash of the ongoing series, Team India got a flying start. After Uma Chetry’s dismissal on 24 runs, Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues led the way. After Smriti’s incredible knock, Jemimah smashed the 12th T20I half-century of her career.

After Smriti Mandhana’s dazzling innings of 54 runs in just 33 balls, Richa Ghosh accompanied Jemimah to put on a big total. After Richa’s departure, Jemimah kept the momentum going on. After scoring 73 runs in just 35 deliveries, Jemimah walked away in an unfortunate run-out. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten scoring 13 runs in 11 balls. With incredible team effort, Team India posted a formidable total of 195-4 on the board.
