India women are playing against New Zealand women in the third ODI of the three-match series at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With the series level at 1-1, this game is the series decider, and the two teams are battling it out in the middle for the trophy.

New Zealand posted a competitive total in the board

Sophie Devine won the toss ahead of the match and opted to bat first. The Indian bowlers did a great job with the ball and had the visitors reeling at 88/5 in the 24th over. However, after this, Brooke Halliday started the Kiwis' repair job. She played a brilliant knock of 86 runs from 96 deliveries and was aided by Isabella Gaze and Lea Tahuhu as New Zealand moved towards a respectable total. Ultimately, the Indian bowlers bundled out New Zealand for 232 in the last over of the innings.

In the chase, India lost Shafali Verma early and was put under a bit of pressure. However, Yastika Bhatia joined hands with Smriti Mandhana and stabilised the proceedings for the team. The duo stitched together a partnership of 76 runs and ensured that India progressed steadily towards the target.

Yastika Bhatia departed in the 21st over after playing a steady knock of 35 runs from 49 deliveries. As Bhatia departed, Harmanpreet Kaur joined Mandhana in the middle, and the duo continued from where the previous partnership had left.

The Indian skipper went about her business in her vintage style. She kept rotating the strike and did not let the pressure build on the team's progress. In the 31st over, Harmanpreet Kaur was seen struggling with cramps, which might be a concern for the Indian team.

As the 50 runs partnership came up between Mandhana and Kaur, the latter was seen laying down on the ground looking for relief from a pain around her knees on the left foot. The physio sprinted out in the middle and treated the star batter.

As per the reports, the India captain had a strain on her left calf muscle. This might have been because of the dehydration caused by the humid conditions. Harman was later seen refusing a couple of quick singles due to her trouble. During the drinks after the incident, Harmanpreet was seen getting her knee and calf taped heavily.
