On Thursday, June 20, India will lock horns against Afghanistan in their first Super 8 match of this World Cup. Both sides have been phenomenal so far. The Afghans have been in the news as they replicated their 2023 ODI World Cup performance in this tournament and stunned side like New Zealand to make their way to the knockout stage.

Afghanistan have played four games and won three and only lost to hosts West Indies. The Asian side witnessed some great individual performances like Rahmanuallah Gurbaz, who is the tournament's leading run-scorer and Fazalhaq Farooqi, the leading wicket-taker.

However, it is to be seen whether a 104-run defeat against West Indies would force Rashid to take some risks and drop some big names. Check out Afghanistan's Probable XI vs India.

In the opening, Gurbaz would continue to open with Ibrahim Zadran. The two are one of the best opening pairs in this edition. The KKR star is the leading run-getter while Zadran has also scored a fifty.

Rest, Rashid Khan, and Noor Ahmed will be the key spinners and Naveen-ul-Haq, and Fazalhaq Farooqi will headline the seam attack.
