Experienced all-rounder Gulbadin Naib showcased his bowling prowess in their do-or-die Super Eight clash against Australia in the ongoing T20 World Cup. The medium pacer got the prized scalp of Australia's in-form batter Marcus Stoinis during a crucial juncture of the match.

The incident occurred during the eleventh over of Australia's innings when Stoinis was trying to steady the ship alongside Glenn Maxwell.

Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan's decision to bring Gulbadin into the attack worked wonders as the seamer got Stoinis to help his side claim the driving seat.

After keeping it tight and conceding only a run off his first two balls, Gulbadin bowled a short ball that took Stoinis by surprise.

The extra bounce off the hard length did the trick as the Aussie batter edged it behind the stumps.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz ran backwards and grabbed a stunning catch as Gulbadin flexed his muscles while celebrating the wicket.

The medium pacer further went on to dismiss Tim David in his second over to push Australia on the back foot.

However, despite running out of partners, Maxwell has played a magnificent knock so far. As of writing, Australia were 94 for five in 13 overs, with Maxwell and Matthew Wade unbeaten on 50* and 2*, respectively.
