Glenn Maxwell's poor form continues as he falls for 10(11) against the Seattle Orcas in match 8 of Major League Cricket season 2 between Seattle Orcas and Washington Freedom in Dallas.

During a 125-run chase after winning the toss and bowling first, Washington Freedom found themselves in a spot of bother after a few quick wickets in the middle. They found themselves 43/3 when Glenn Maxwell came to bat on the final ball of the powerplay.

After losing another wicket at 53, Maxwell tried to consolidate and take Freedom through. However, when Harmeet Singh came in to bowl the 10th over, he tried to take on the left-arm spinner by giving himself room and hitting one over the covers for a six.

The incident occurred at 9.1 when Harmeet came in to bowl his 2nd over and pitched a full delivery on the middle-off line where the Australian batter tried to give himself room and mishit the ball which went straight up in the air and Orcas skipper, Heinrich Klaasen who was fielding in the point region made no mistake in back-tracking and catching it.

With Maxwell's wicket, the Washington-based franchise was reduced to 64/5 with 61 required from 65. However, Sri Lanka-born wicketkeeper, Lahiru Milantha, and all-rounder Obus Pienaar took it upon themselves to win WF the match by 5 wickets with 8 balls to spare.

Maxwell's Washington Freedom will next face LA Knight Riders (LAKR) in match 11 of the season at Morrisville on July 14.
