Glenn Maxwell was at his very best on Wednesday (October 25) during Australia's World Cup clash against the Netherlands at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. The Australian all-rounder hit a few swashbuckling shots, and the one which he smacked against Bas de Leede left everyone stunned.

During the 47th over, bowled by de Leede, Maxwell went for a reverse sweep against the fast bowler, who bowled towards the stumps. The timing from Maxwell was so perfect that the ball sailed over the third man region for an audacious six.

In the process, Maxwell got to his 24th ODI half-century, which he later converted to a century that will be remembered for ages.

Opting to bat, Australia did not get an ideal start as Mitchell Marsh departed cheaply. However, David Warner's impressive century, ably assisted by Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, steadied the ship before Maxwell gave them a fitting finish against a helpless Dutch attack.

As of writing, Maxwell's show has ended after an entertaining knock, which had eight sixes and nine fours. The all-rounder lost his wicket after a 43-ball 106 before Logan van Beek ended his stay.
