In a surprising turn of events, MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir put an end to his brotherly feud on Sunday after CSK’s thumping seven-wicket victory over KKR in Chennai. The iconic duo, who played pivotal roles in India’s 2011 OD World Cup triumph by performing admirably in the final, hugged each other when players and support staff were shaking hands.
There had been plenty of reports regarding the feud between Gambhir and Dhoni, and to some extent, the former was responsible for it due to his no-nonsense take on public platforms. However, nothing mattered after what thousands of people witnessed in the middle of M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.

After winning three matches on the trot, KKR put on a disastrous show with the bat, mustering only 137/9 batting first. CSK, in reply, did not take much pressure while chasing it, with Gaikwad himself leading by example with an unbeaten 67 not out. MS Dhoni, from the other end, remained unbeaten on 1.
CSK will next play against Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 14 in Match 29 of the ongoing edition.
