Bangladesh scripted history with a monumental series win, successfully chasing down 185 runs and losing only four wickets in the last innings of the second Test. This six-wicket triumph secured their first-ever away series win in Asia and marked a significant milestone in their cricket journey. The victory will undoubtedly bolster their confidence as they gear up for the upcoming away series against India.

While things are working out positively for Bangladesh, Pakistan are having a nightmarish time. This home series defeat brought to the table many questions that they need to sort out pretty quickly to turn things around for themselves. One of the prime concerns for the management should be the effort that the players are putting on the field. Throughout the two Test matches, it felt a lot of the time that the Pakistan fielders just didn’t want to be on the field.

Pakistan players put on a hilarious display on the field

A recently surfaced video on social media shows an instance from the second Test in which the Pakistan players gave the worst professional example on the field. The video is from the 34th over of Bangladesh's second innings.

The video, which has recently surfaced on social media, captures a particularly disappointing moment from the second Test. In the 34th over of Bangladesh's second innings, a good length delivery on the leg stump by Agha Salman was tapped by Najmul Hossain Shanto to the vacant mid-wicket region for a single. The fielder stationed there displayed a lack of urgency, allowing the batters to sneak in a quick second run. In an attempt to compensate for his lacklustre fielding, the fielder made a wild throw that missed the target by a significant margin, enabling the batters to capitalise on the overthrow and complete a third run.

Pakistan and Bangladesh's next assignment

Pakistan will have about a month to mend their team's weaknesses. Their next assignment is a three-match home Test series against England. Due to their loss against Bangladesh, Pakistan are currently in the second-last position on the WTC Points table. They will be looking to put in a better show against England and pick up some critical WTC points.

On the other hand, Bangladesh currently ranks fourth in the points table. They will be looking to build on their momentum and put in a strong display against India.
