Bangladesh Women's star cricketer Fahima Khatun had a memorable day on the field in her side's inaugural T20 World Cup affair against Scotland Women in Sharjah. After getting the prized scalp of Saskia Horley, Khatun exhibited commendable fielding skills to take a spectacular catch and dismiss Darcey Carter. 

The incident occurred during the 15th over of Scotland Women's innings when Carter had just joined Sarah Bryce in the middle following Priyanaz Chatterji's unfortunate runout dismissal. However, before the duo could stitch an impactful partnership, Ritu Moni sent Carter packing, courtesy of Fahima Khatun's magnificent catch near the boundary. 

After starting his third over with a dot ball, Ritu bowled a good length delivery around the off stump. Having played too many dots, Darcey Carter had to go for a risky aerial shot, lofting the ball in pursuit of a boundary. 


However, Fahima Khatun had other ideas, as she pulled off a stunner near the long-on boundary. After taking the catch, she balanced herself beautifully to dismiss Carter. Her incredible fielding effort helped Bangladesh Women draw the fifth blood, while Carter gave a shocking facial expression while making her way back to the dugout. 

Sarah Bryce Holds The Fort For Scotland Amid Batting Collapse

After restricting Bangladesh Women to a modest 119-run total, Scotland had a disastrous start to their innings, losing three wickets for 49 runs. However, despite losing partners, Sarah Bryce is still fighting as Scotland's lone-warrior in the middle. At the time of writing, Scotland were on the verge of a crushing defeat, placed at 88 for six, needing 32 runs off the remaining 13 balls.
