During the countdown to the toss between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), there was an unexpected moment. RCB captain Faf du Plessis was seen showing SRH captain Pat Cummins how the toss was supposedly tampered with during the Mumbai Indians (MI ) vs RCB game.

A big accusation was made against match referee Javagal Sreenath, a former top Indian pace bowler. During the Mumbai Indians (MI) vs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) match, where MI won against RCB, some people on the internet claimed that Sreenath tampered with the coin toss. Video clips went viral, showing Sreenath not flipping the coin properly.

One of the videos showed Srinath not flipping the coin, but rather forgetting the call made by RCB captain Faf du Plessis.

Netizens were suggesting that Sreenath might have favored MI by not flipping the coin properly, especially since the Wankhede pitch usually benefits the chasing team due to dew. MI won the toss and opted to bowl, successfully chasing down RCB's score.

This fueled suspicions. These doubts were doubled when MI won the toss against CSK, but CSK beat MI while defending their score.
