Dinesh Karthik smashed a 108-metre six on Monday (April 15) in Match 15 of the IPL 2024 between RCB and SRH, taking place at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The 38-year-old hit the longest six of the ongoing edition, and it was T Natarajan who was at the receiving end.

RCB came to chase an improbable target of 288, and Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis gave them an ideal start with ferocious approach. However, they collapsed in the middle, letting Dinesh Karthik to step.

Nevertheless, the job was too much to achieve. Yet Karthik did not give up, smashing a quickfire half-century against Pat Cummins & his boys. And Natarajan bowled a full delivery on DK's pads, and the wicket-keeper batsman took the gift with both hands, slamming it astoundingly right on the rooftop of Chinnaswamy.

The distance got 108 metre, defeating the previous best of 106 metres, hit by Nicholas Pooran, Venkatesh Iyer, and Heinrich Klaasen, who previously hit on the rooftop on the same night.

RCB, however, endured a hard-fought defeat, as they closed on 262/7.
